Farrell D. McKay Sr.'s Obituary
Farrell D. McKay, Sr., age 89 of North Olmsted, passed away October 24, 2021. Beloved husband of 68 years to Margaret (nee Boger); loving father of Dean (Renee), the late Timothy (Diane) and Tammy (Ron) Hughes; cherished grandfather of Sean (Farrah), Lee (Kate), Erin (Ryan), Chris (Kristin), Ryan (Jilian), Ashley McKayla; great-grandfather of McKenzie, Elizabeth, Reagan, Connor, Jack Dean, McBaby, Jason (Amanda), Jeffery, Aiden, and Noah; brother-in-law of Kathy (Danny) Kuack.
Farrell was a U.S. Airforce Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from East Ohio Gas Co. after over 40 years. He served as an Honorable Councilman for the city of North Olmsted for over 20 years. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the North Olmsted Knights of Columbus. He was a devout public servant.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 4-8 PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at St. Clarence Catholic Parish, 30106 Lorain Rd. North Olmsted at 10 AM. Please meet at church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
