Floyd Joseph Grgetich's Obituary
Floyd J. Grgetich, 96, passed away at home on February 8, 2023. Floyd was born on May 3, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Catherine (Hunt) Grgetich. He is preceded in death by his wife Frances (nee Victor). He is survived by his daughters Deborah (Robert) Wykoff and Judy Koney. He was the proud grandfather of James (Nesli) Wykoff and Anthony Grgetich; and great grandfather to Atlas Wykoff. He was the brother of the late Josephine (Louis) Kluska, Lester (Marilyn) Gregg and John Grgetich. He will be missed by family and friends and his loyal companion Coco Moco. He was proud of his military service in the US Navy, serving with the Pacific Fleet during WW II as an amphibious fireman. Floyd loved his polkas and country music, his Croation heritage and sitting out on the deck with a liquid refreshment watching the deer. He was loved by all and was considered a "wonderful man" by so many.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Graveside service with Navy Military Honors will follow at 12:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Floyd's name to Hospice of the Western Reserve at www.hospicewr.org.
