Fran "Jean" Kopack, 87, passed away on May 9, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Fred and Bertha Coulter.
Fran was the beloved wife of 65 years to Raymond Kopack, a devoted mother to Matt (Ellie) Kopack, Mark( (deceased) Maryse Sulimma)Kopack, Michelle (Jason Jervis) Hostottle, Mary (Dave) Chopka, and Marcia (Dave) Rigda. She was a cherished grandmother to twelve grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren. Fran was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Coulter.
Fran had a generous and welcoming heart, never one to turn anyone away. She always had an extra seat at the table, ready to share a meal with friends, family, or anyone who needed the warmth of her company. Her kindness and gentle nature made her someone that was always embracing love, laughter, and compassion.
She had a long and respected career as a registered nurse, offering care and comfort to so many throughout her years of service. Outside of her profession, Fran found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cheering for the Cleveland Indians, spending time quilting, and doting on her beloved Shih Tzu, Yuki.
