Gary R. Chilcher's Obituary
Gary R. Chilcher, 75 of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023.
He was born on December 15, 1947. Gary was a former high school athlete, avid sports enthusiast, and enjoyed working outside in the yard. He graduated from Kent State University with a BFA in 1972, and began his career in graphic design. Gary married the love of his life, Linda Foster, on May 27, 1972.
Gary worked many years in graphic design management, retiring from the Cuyahoga County Public Library in 2008. He enjoyed working across all media platforms and had a passion for art.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Chilcher; daughters, Tiffany Duraney (Chris), Tami Fischer (Pete), and Tara Zbozien (John); grandchildren, Miranda, Aubrey, Matthew, Sydney, Ally, and Nate; and great-grandchild, Lee.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Georgianna Chilcher; and sister, Roberta.
Visitation is Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 4-8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Service is Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the chapel.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
