Gary Dennis Stephan's Obituary
Gary Dennis Stephan, 82, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024. He was born on January 30, 1942.
Gary was the beloved son of the late Nelson and Lillian (Don Pelot) Stephan. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of over 45 years, Lois Jane Stephan. Together, they built a life filled with love and memories.
Gary is survived by his devoted son, Gary (Shannon) Stephan II, and his adored grandchildren, Kegan, Mackenzie, and Kali. He is also survived by his sister, RoseMarie Wawrzeniak and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson (Diane) Stephan, and brother-in-law, Richard Wawrzeniak.
Gary had a passion for playing golf, working on hotrod cars, and generally loved all animals. As a young man, he received a black belt in martial arts, and he dedicated his time as an instructor to many. His love for these activities brought him great joy and fulfillment throughout his life.
He dedicated many years of his career to working in maintenance for Freeway Corp, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Gary will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Sunset Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Pinewood Garden Mausoleum.
