Gene B. Toney's Obituary
Gene B. Toney, 95, of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1931, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Glenn and Esther Toney.
Gene was the beloved husband of the late Carol Toney, with whom he shared a long and devoted marriage.
He is survived by his children Debbie (Gene‑deceased) Grega, Geoff (Maria) Toney, and Stephanie (Tim) Kington; his grandchildren Ashley, Geoffrey, Zoe, Madeleine, and Katherine; and his great‑grandchildren Jett, Maddox, and Liliana. Gene’s family was his greatest joy, and his gentle spirit will continue to echo through the generations who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Jack Toney, Glen Toney, and Juanita Orlowski.
Gene was a musician through and through. His passion for playing the guitar was a defining part of his life, and he shared that love not only through performance but also through his work selling musical instruments. Music was his language, his craft, and his gift to those around him. Gene also, enjoyed fishing and playing a round or 2 of golf.
A memorial service will be held on April 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
