George Earl Bowman, Sr.'s Obituary
George Bowman, 92, of North Olmsted, passed away June 12, 2024. Beloved husband of Evangeline “Kay” (deceased); loving mother of George (Holly) Bowman Jr. and Dale Bowman; cherished grandfather of Carrie (Bryan) Williams, Kelly Bowman (Brian Roth), Alexandra Bowman (Corey Nau), Dale Bowman Jr., and Tyler Bowman; dear great grandfather of Caylon, Robert, Sylvia, and Ayden; brother of Clinton (deceased), Carol and Lotus.
George was a hardworking man with many artistic talents. He had a quiet demeanor, but a strong sense of self.
He served in the army and fought in the Korean War where he received serval metals including a Purple Heart.
George was a great family provider. He worked at Bell Hardware then for USB in Westlake, Ohio from where he retired.
He loved tinkering on cars and motorcycles. His favorite hobby was building model cars- many of his handmade models were award winning. For many years, George and his wife Kay taught ceramics together from their home in North Olmsted, Ohio.
George was an animal lover and had many pets over the years. And his birdfeeders were always overflowing with seed, as he loved watching the birds from his window.
His family prays that he has eternal peace.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, with a graveside Military Service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
