George Allen Buchanan Jr.'s Obituary
George Buchanan, Jr. was born on July 22, 1932 to George, Sr. and Elizabeth Buchanan in Gloversville, NY. He grew up working at his parent’s diner and that ignited a love of cooking and baking. After high school he joined the Army and proudly served his country. Upon returning from the Army, he sought out better job opportunities and moved to Cleveland. George was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He enjoyed going to Indians games, watching games on TV, and listening to sports talk radio. He spent countless hours vocalizing during Browns games. He had a passion for gardening and could grow anything. George was also the ultimate master of quick wit and sarcasm and kept his family laughing.
George is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Delores (nee Yankovich). His adoring daughter Tonia (Erik) Epple and his cherished grandchildren Meghan, Brett, and Kendall. He is also survived by his brother James (late Peggy) Buchanan of Gloversville and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded by his parents, sisters Marilyn (Ken) Monroe and Shirley (Bill) Susen.
