George Ciganko's Obituary
George Ciganko, Age 82, of North Olmsted, passed away February 14th, 2020. Together again with his beloved wife and love of his life for 59 years, the late Phyllis (nee Buckwald); father of Heidi (Robert-deceased) Dunn, Rebecca Vassel, Jennifer (Carmen) Basile and Jeffrey Ciganko; Dear son of the late John and Helen (nee Sekarek); Loving grandfather of Derrick Vassel, Sean (Erin) Basile, Jacqueline Pappas, Samantha Pappas, Kayleigh Basile, Kimberly Basile and Joey Basile; Devoted great-grandfather of George Ian Basile, Paisley Basile, Jude Basile, Walker Basile, Giavanna Cicero and Holly Pappas; Adored brother of the late John (Eileen) Ciganko, Rita (Ben) Thomlinson and Kathy St. John; Uncle to many nieces, nephews and many more loving family and friends who will miss him greatly.
George loved family first and foremost. He owned his own “Handyman” business. George could build anything and was self-taught in carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Always working on something and keeping busy. George worked as a meat cutter at Kroger and A & P, McDonald's for 25 years and Rent-A-Center for over 25 years. He was always up for a good laugh and making people laugh. George was a wonderful, genuine man and will be miss by all who had the honor of knowing him and having him in their lives.
The family will receive guests, TUESDAY, February 18th, 2020 from 6-9PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Sunset Chapel, WEDNESDAY, February 19th at 12 Noon. George will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, in a private service at the Sunset Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.
