George Alan Haynik 79, of Brooklyn , Ohio passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 6, 1943 to the late John and Elda Haynik (nee Schroeder). Retired Battalion Chief of the Cleveland Division of Fire, and served in the US Army as a Paratrooper in Germany. As the oldest child, George became a guiding example for his family and peers. He was extremely hard working & knowledgeable of many things; especially in home and auto repair. He was dedicated to providing care & support to his family during their medical treatments. A sometimes-gruff exterior, and sarcastically funny, yet inside the most loving & giving soul to our family members in their time of need.
