George Porvasnik's Obituary
George J. Porvasnik, 87, of Middleburg Heights, Ohio passed away on November 11, 2021. He was born on March 2, 1934 to the late George J. and Helen F. (nee Spisak) Porvasnik, Sr. George was a proud veteran of the US Army and a retired plumber with Local 55. He served as President of the Plumber’s Credit Union for over 50 years and found great joy in his summer life at Catawba. He will be missed. Beloved husband of Sharon (nee Shonkwiler) Porvasnik of 60 years; loving father of Stacy Porvasnik and Shelly (Brian) Brancatelli; cherished grandfather of Jared, Nicolas, and Sabrina Brancatelli and Sophie Howard Porvasnik; dear brother of Donald (Marcia) Porvasnik and Richard Porvasnik (deceased); brother-in-law of Clara Porvasnik; and treasured family member and friend to many. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 3-7 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Bartholomew Church, 14865 E. Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
