Georgia Michalske's Obituary
Georgia Michalske passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 87. She lived a full and meaningful life marked by her unwavering love for her family, her zest for life and her generous soul.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Douglas Michalske, who passed away in 2017. Their marriage was a lasting example of love and partnership, and she carried his memory with her always.
Georgia was the beloved mother of Danielle Michalske and Matt Michalske (Denise). She was the cherished grandmother of Kiersten Michalske and Theodore Michalske. She was the dear sister of Peter Baltas (Donna) and James Baltas (Judi, deceased). She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her and who will miss her dearly.
Georgia attended Collinwood High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships. In her younger years, she was an avid golfer and played on courses from Ohio to Florida. She loved to travel and was especially fond of the beach. She loved to garden and took pride in her spectacular plants and flowers. Her love for casinos with her close friends will be missed. Proud of her Greek heritage, she cherished the music, dancing, food and traditions of her roots in Riepsi, Greece.
A wonderful cook, Georgia was especially known for her Christmas cookies, a tradition her family will forever treasure. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the memories she created will be cherished always.
A service will be held at 11:00am on Monday February 23, 2026 at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22909 Center Ridge Rd, Rocky River, Ohio 44116. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.
