Gerard A. Springer's Obituary
Gerard A. Springer, 88, of North Olmsted, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2023. He was born in Ebensburg, PA, on March 29, 1934, to the late Amandus and Josephine (nee Kirsch) Springer. Gerard is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley J. (nee Kupetz) and their children William (Donna), Kenneth (Jeanne), Pamela Mullinex (Donald) and Christopher (Tressa). He was the loving grandfather of Adelyne, Vander, Bill Jr., Michael, Bonnie, Richele, Lauren, Kenneth Sebille, Donald and Ashlee Mullinex and Nicole Rhew. Great grandfather of Penelope, Braylen, Skyler, Liem, Emerson and Madelyn. Brother to Robert and Jeannie Springer and the late Luella, Francis, Adrian and William Springer. Gerard enjoyed fishing, playing golf and keeping his yard in perfect order but what he enjoyed and loved most was his wife, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2023, 12:30 to 2:30 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio, 44070. Mass will follow at 3:00 PM at St. Richard Church, 26855 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in Gerard’s name to the Cleveland Food Bank at www.greaterclevelandfoodbank.org.
