Glenda Hadlock's Obituary
Glenda Hadlock, 84, was born on June 12, 1938, to the late Archie and Dorcie Brady.
Glenda passed away surrounded by love on April 18, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Elmer “Vern” Hadlock. Cherished mother of Becky Brady. Loving grandmother of Tonya (Jeff) Rick. Adored great-grandmother of Austin, Caiden, Gavin, and Tiana. Dear sister of James (Debbie) Brady. Stepmother of Dan (Marlene) Hadlock, Jamie (John) Rasgaitis, Russell (Beth) Hadlock, Dean Hadlock, and Nicholas Hadlock, and step-grandmother of many. Glenda also leaves many loved nieces and nephews.
Glenda was preceded in death by her siblings: Clyde, Clarence, Lora, Woneda, Grace, and Maralee; her grandson, Joey Blackburn; and her stepchildren, Wes Hadlock and Kelly Hadlock.
Glenda lived her life to the fullest by working hard and playing harder. After retiring from Ford Motor Company, Glenda stayed active by pursuing some of her passions. Glenda loved to travel. She and her husband road tripped in their motor home every winter. Avoiding cold weather, they found themselves out west enjoying the casinos or down south basking in the sunshine. Glenda was spontaneous and would plan a spur of the moment trip just because she felt like it. Eventually, she and her husband put down some wintertime roots in Florida where they would spend their days relaxing with neighbors and bragging about the warm weather to their loved ones at home. During warmer months, Glenda loved to be home in Ohio making memories with her family. Glenda never missed an opportunity to bring all her family together, she delighted in being the matriarch and hosting gatherings for all occasions. She was happiest when she had a backyard full of family and little ones running between her feet. She would fill her days with her husband and their hobbies of garage sales and flea markets always enjoying the thrill of a good deal! Glenda found joy in the simple things such as a cup of coffee during sunrise on her front porch, snuggling her grandbabies and watching cartoons, a game of cards with her sisters, or a cold beer and laughs with her friends and family. Glenda will be missed by so many, however we will hold on to our beautiful memories and the promise of eternity together.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the tremendous staff of Kemper House (Strongsville) for the kindness and love they showed to Glenda during her final year. You are all blessings to our family, and we will forever be grateful.
