Glenn W Bernasek's Obituary
Glenn William Bernasek, born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 20, 1938, and went home to our Lord on December 4, 2023.
Glenn was the cherished husband of Pamela (nee Fowler) and loving father of their daughters Cheryl (Doug) Rogers and Traci (Kenny) Jadlowiec. Glenn was the beloved son of William J. and Julia A (nee Jedlicka) Bernasek whom preceded him in death.
Cherished brother to Lee and Reid (deceased). Glenn was the dear uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was also a proud grandparent to Nate and Natalie, and great-grandparent to Landon, Makenna and Wren.
Glenn retired from Eveready Battery Co., Inc. as Senior Laboratory Technologist with thirty-three years of service.
Glenn began his interest in community service when he joined the 122nd Army Band of the Ohio National Guard in May of 1955. For which Glenn served with pride and honor for twenty-nine years, attaining the position of acting First Sergeant. Glenn retired from the U. S. Army Reserves and was awarded The Army Commendation Medal.
Glenn, a long-time resident of Strongsville, Ohio, continued his life of community service by serving on many projects and advisory committees for the city of Strongsville. Glenn was also the co- founder of the then Strongsville Chapter 5286 of AARP, Inc.
Glenn rekindled his love of performing music by playing in the Strongsville Community Band as the band’s Baritone Saxophonist. Glenn was also very active in the international TI-99/4A home computer community.
Glenn’s last wish was that remembrances be given as donations to: Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
