Hannelore "Lore" Annaliese Meister (Bohlken)'s Obituary
Hannelore “Lore” Annaliese Karla Meister (Bohlken) age 90, born June 14, 1932, passed away October 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Johannes and Margarethe Bohlken (Läge).
Beloved wife of the late Fritz; loving mother of Diane (Bob) and Mark; dearest Oma of Brett; Grandmother of Granddogs Stella and Cooper; Big Sister of Johannes “Hannes” (Gunda); Sister in-law of Waldemar “Waldi” and Horst (Margarethe); Aunt and godmother of Ina (Dieter); Aunt of Beate (Tommi), Iris (Stephan), Michael (Bea), Marion & Katja (Arno); Great aunt of Manuela (Chris), Benjamin, Marc (Neele), Oliver, Lars and Johannes (Cynthia).
Hannelore was affectionately called Oma (Grandmother) by friends and family. She was born in Oldenburg, Germany and immigrated to the United States in November, 1956. She attended Realschule (Technical Academic High School) in Germany where she trained to become a Millinery. She worked at Käthe vor Mohr in Oldenburg, Germany from April,1948 to November, 1956. She worked for Richmond Brothers in Cleveland, Ohio from January, 1957 to July, 1960. She was proud of her German heritage but considered the United States her adopted country. She was a member of the German Central Foundation Frauengruppe (Women’s Group).
Hannelore and Fritz wed on December 22, 1956. They were married 58 years. They enjoyed visiting her family and friends in Germany and vacationing in Saint Augustine, Florida to escape Ohio winters. She was a talented baker, German cook, seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and cross-stitcher.
We will remember her kindness. Hannelore will be dearly missed by the people that loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 2:30 PM, at the West Wood Abby Mausoleum, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 440470 followed by a graveside service at Sunset Cemetery in North Olmsted.
