Harry Aurslanian's Obituary
Harry L. Aurslanian, age 95, of Fairview Park, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022. Loving husband of Jeannette (nee Bosnoian) for 66 years. Beloved father of Anita (Haig, former spouse) Arpajian and Louise (Serop) Demirjian, grandfather of Elise Haupt, Lauren Demirjian (David Avanesian), Christopher (Ashley) Arpajian, Maral (Tigran) Antonyan and Araxie Demirjian. Great-grandfather of Archer, Miles, Diran, Margaret, Ani and Quinn. Brother of Meshac and Richard (Sandra) Aurslanian, uncle and great uncle.
Harry was the eldest of three brothers and a dedicated son to his parents. He grew up in New England, loving fishing and boating. He was a hard worker from a young age and left high school to help provide for his family. Harry was in the MASH unit in the US Army during the Korean conflict and attended Fenn College for drafting courses courtesy of the GI bill upon his return. After completing his courses at Fenn, he earned his GED and became a master machinist at Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Co., manufacturing airplane parts, and later at Ferry Cap & Set Screw. He even tried his hand at real estate. Harry finished his career at Ohio Nuclear (Technicare)/Johnson & Johnson, making models of various medical imaging devices from engineering blueprints.
In his free time, Harry enjoyed taking his daughters (and later grandchildren) camping, fishing, and boating. Harry was an avid league bowler for many years. He was a freelance horticulturist and had many tanks of tropical fish. He was an amateur photographer and videographer. He had a lovely singing voice and enjoyed harmonizing with his family, especially at Christmas time. He was an avid holistic medicine enthusiast and took a variety of different vitamins to keep him healthy throughout his 95 years. He was always willing to share his findings with others suffering various ailments!
Funeral services have already been held. Friends are invited to a graveside blessing and luncheon to remember Harry on Saturday, August 27, 2022, 11:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in the small chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Church, 678 Richmond Rd., Richmond Hts., OH 44143.
