Helen K. Johnson's Obituary
Helen Katherine Johnson, 85, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 28, 1939, to the late George and Katherine (née Mild) Gunnesch, Helen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Helen was the devoted wife of 46 years to the late George Johnson. She is survived by her loving children: Laura (Randy) Doi, Linda (Dan) Hein, Michael (Barbara) Johnson, Katherine (Bill) Hobbs, and Monica Johnson. She was a cherished grandmother to Rachel, Nathan (Rachel), Aron, Marissa (deceased), and Marisa M., and a proud great-grandmother to Alexis, Londyn, and Zelda. Helen is also survived by her sister-in-law, Loreen Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
Helen had a passion for baking and cooking, and she found joy in sharing her culinary creations with family and friends. She loved nature and enjoyed drawing, often capturing the beauty she saw around her. Known for her sympathetic nature and great sense of humor, Helen appreciated the simple pleasures in life. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved being a stay-at-home mom, dedicating her life to her family.
Visitation will be held on October 24, 2024 from 12pm to 2pm at Sunset Chapel, 6425 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, with a service to immediately follow in the chapel at 2pm.
Helen’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
