Henrietta Ann Shockey's Obituary
Henrietta Ann Shockey, 87, of Seven Hills, Ohio died November 15, 2022 at Plum Creek Assisted Living, Brunswick, Ohio. Born October 6, 1935 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, she is the daughter of Geoge Henry and Helen Esther (Merrill) Strong. Preceded in death by parents; her husband, Joseph William Shockey; and sister, Sara Jane Hutzell. Survived by her sister, Pam Hutzell; niece, Julie Kaufhold; nephew, Bernie Kaufhold; great nephews, Jonathan and Jack Kaufhold, Frederick, MD; and a niece, Mary Boost, her husband Michael and all their loving children and grandchildren from Brunswick and the Cleveland area.
She was a 1953 graduate of Rockwood High School, PA and attended Indiana University of PA and Waynesburg College, PA. She and Joe were married October 23, 1955. They moved to Cleveland and enjoyed their life together for 62 years. She retired from Safeway Safety, Cleveland, as the office manager. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Broadview Road, Cleveland.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Plum Creek Assisted Living, 891 Marks Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212 in her memory.
