Jack W. Carpenter's Obituary
Jack Carpenter, age 89, of North Royalton, passed away January 1, 2020. He was born to the late Max and Flossie Carpenter. Beloved husband of Velma Jean (dec.), cherished father of Douglas (Aleksandra), John (Stella), Susan Mugg (James), and Stephen (Kimberley); loving grandfather of Monica Fralick (Matthew) & David (Kathrine) - Rasberry, Charlotte, & Elvis - Christina Peer (Gregory), & Brian Mugg - Benjamin, Rachel, Sarah, Emily, & the late beloved, Joshua; dear great grandfather of Amy, Henry, Rose, & Thomas. He graduated with a B.S. Agriculture from The Ohio State University, where he was President of the Albright-Otterbein Student Fellowship and member of the Townshend Agricultural Education Society. Jack graduated with a Master's Degree in Education from Kent State University. He served in the U.S. Army (Ft. Knox) during the Korean War and went on to teach General Science at Schaaf Junior High School in Parma, before owning Carpenter Insurance Agency. He was an active member of Good Shepherd UMC in Parma. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Saturday, January 4th, at the Busch Funeral Home, Parma. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 5th at 2 pm at the Good Shepherd Church, 5930 State Rd, Parma, with a half hour prior of visitation at Church. Interment at SUNSET MEMORIAL PARK, North Olmsted on Monday, January 6th at 1:00 PM.
