Jacob Geyer's Obituary
Jacob Geyer, 91, of Westlake, passed away on September 23. 2018.
Beloved father of Jacob “Jake” (Ilona) Geyer and Heidi (Don deceased) Cunningham; loving OPA of Heidi (Eric), Lindsay, Nicholas (Laura), Nichole, Michael (Andrea), Hansi (Kristel), Alissa, and Tiffany; dear UHR OPA of Merlena, Mason, Jacob, Valerie, Dietrik, Gwen, Alex, Dominik, Anneliese, and Leni. Jacob was preceded in death by his wife Anneliese (Schneider); parents Fredrich and Magdalena (Scherer) Geyer; and his children Rosemarie and Helmut.
Jacob participated in founding the Donauschwaben’s German-American Cultural Center in Olmsted Falls. One of the proud founders of Metropolitan Builders which is now in its third generation. He was loving, dedicated, devoted, generous, and the rock and heart of the Geyer Family. Jacob was a hard worker and he taught his family the value of a great work ethic, often telling his family “it should have been done yesterday.” He enjoyed golfing and fishing, and cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends at the family cottage in Lodi.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 12-1 PM at the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, where his memorial service will immediately follow at 1 PM. A graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070.
