James A. Barr's Obituary
James Allen Barr Jr., of North Ridgeville, passed away September 25, 2017. He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late James Allen Barr and Sara Mills. James is the beloved father of Diana (Richard) Boyer, Denise Frey, and Debbie Barr; cherished grandfather of Scott Boyer, Rick Boyer, Sunita (Danny) Redfern, and Tara (Joe) Dayton; dearest brother of David (Linda) Barr and sister in law Nancy Barr; and beloved great grandfather of Brock Boyer, James Redfern, Lillyann Redfern, and Jacob Dayton. He retired from Ohio Bell following employment as a manager. James enjoyed boating and fishing, and was an avid model ship builder. He liked Big Band music and dancing. James cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Lavis, his parents, and his brother Donald Barr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11-12 PM with his funeral service to follow at 12PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, with a graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.dostalbokas.com
