James "Jimmy" Laffey's Obituary
James ”Jimmy” John Laffey, 64, of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his daughters home on February 28, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late James and Marianne Laffey and brother of the late Jeffery Laffey.
His greatest title in life was not one he earned from a job or uniform, but the powerful names of Dad and Grandpa. His daughter Charmayne (Michael) Chiracu and granddaughter, Scarlet, were his pride, his purpose, and his greatest joy. He is also survived by his extended family and close friends Pam (Tom Bohurjak)Allman, Matt Bohurjak, Josh Bohurjak, and Eric (Natalie) Spurlock, each of whom held a special place in his life.
He was a proud United States Army veteran who carried the same principles into his life m, everyday. He showed up. He worked hard. He loved deeply. He was a devoted fan of the Pittsburg Steelers, his “tractor” and evenings spent with friends around a fire.
He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, humor, hard work, and unconditional love. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that the same man who built so much warmth in this life now rests in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Legacy Chapel, 6451 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Township, OH 44138. With a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Sunset Legacy Chapel.
