James H. Magee's Obituary
James Herbert Magee, age 91, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
He was born December 31, 1927 in Cleveland, son of the late William and Bernice (nee Herrman) Magee. James enjoyed woodworking and building and tinkering with clocks. He loved being outdoors and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most importantly, James loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Devoted husband of 62 years to Jean (nee Barnum) Magee; cherished father of Nancy (Jeff Caputo) Magee, the late Thomas William Magee, and Robert (Kathryn) Magee; beloved grandfather of Dominic Caputo, Samantha (Ryan) Delor, Chelsey Caputo (Lee Anderson), William (Kate) Magee, Daniel (Hansa) Magee, Adam Caputo, Nicholas (Sasha) Engelhardt, Caitlyn Engelhardt, Benjamin Engelhardt, and Andrew Magee (Karyn Adams); loving great grandfather of Patrick Magee; dearest brother of the late William Magee, the late Jane Tober, the late Sally Schmock, and the late Robert Magee.
Memorial service will take place on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 2PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070. Inurnment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’ name are suggested to Cleveland Alzheimer’s Association, 23215 Commerce Park #300, Beachwood, OH 44122.
