RIP Jim. You will be missed by many especially your family. We had a lot of fun with our many go arounds with the Midland Group at Christmas time and Christmas in July Trips. We all had a great life and so thankful you were part of it. Love, Jean (and Lou too)
My fondest memory of Jim was our get togethers at Christmas Time when the Midland group (all 6 guys who worked at Midland and their spouses got together for an all day get-together of brunch at 10 AM, Lunch at 1PM, game time, Sandwiches at 6 PM, more games and home at 10 PM done at 3 different homestead). When we moved to Florida we continued these get-togethers when we visited in July and it became known as Christmas in July) Other get togethers included Midland dances etc.. We have many beautiful memories of these fun times!
My sympathy to you Joyce and children. You had a great husband and and a warm hearted Dad who loved each of you so much. May he RIP.

When I was with Grandpa I asked for was his collection of Calvin and Hobbes. He let me have it and I love those books. I reread them occasionally. It is something I want to share with my kids someday. I will also miss all the times everyone in the family would go over. We would all be in the kitchen with peanuts in hand. Love you Grandpa.
When we were very young, Dad had a "good-night kiss routine" where he would enter our room, kiss his hand, and then press that hand into our forehead saying, "Good night, my Cherub!" In more than 60 years of parenting, there were many memories, too many to list, but most with a similar theme: for a man who essentially grew up without a father, he was able to rally and become a great father himself. I will miss his indefatigable spirit! Love you Dad!
