James Wayne Rundle's Obituary
James Wayne Rundle, age 75, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on August 8, 1950, to the late Wayne and Carmella Rundle (née Vario).
James proudly served as a police officer for the City of Cleveland for many years, dedicating his career to protecting and serving his community. Outside of work, James was known for his generous spirit and love of hosting family and friends. He enjoyed cooking, opening his home to others, and spending time with those he loved most. His warmth, humor, and hospitality made everyone feel welcome.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lori Jones; his stepdaughter, Annette (Jeffery) Izsak, his stepson, Richard Giachetti; and his honorary daughter, Colleen Hepner. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Illiyana Banks-Bey, Alex Izsak, Megan Huth, and his honorary grandson, Hunter Hepner; as well as his adored great‑grandchildren, Thomas, Katie, and Colin.
He is also survived by his dear siblings, Linda (Pat) Coyne, Michael Rundle, and Carol (Mark) Forrester, as well as many nieces and nephews, to whom he was a loving uncle, great‑uncle, and great‑great‑uncle.
James is reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Nancy Rundle; his daughter, Teri Rundle; and his beloved sister‑in‑law, Carol (Michael) Rundle.
James will be deeply missed by all who knew him and were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unforgettable hospitality.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A graveside service will follow immediately afterward.
