James Schraegle's Obituary
James “Jim” Schraegle, aged 62, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024. Born on January 19, 1962, Jim lived a life filled with passion, humor, and an appreciation for the world around him.
Jim had a lifelong fascination with timepieces—clocks and watches were more than just instruments of time; they were treasures that reflected his love for craftsmanship and history. He also found great joy in old cars and music. A sentimental soul, Jim found beauty in nostalgia and the stories that connected past and present.
HIs love for animals was evident in the way he cared for wildlife. Jim took great pleasure in feeding the birds and squirrels that visited his yard and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Nora. He also enjoyed working outdoors, tending to the yard with dedication.
Jim had an incredible sense of humor and was known for his quick wit and storytelling ability. Whether sharing a funny anecdote or reminiscing about the past, he had a way of bringing laughter to those around him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sabina Becker; sister Sharon Spooner (Mike); brother Ben Schraegle (Shelley); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann and Ben Schraegle.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held with details to be shared with family and friends.
