James Edward Sharkus' Obituary
James Edward Sharkus, US Army Veteran, age 75, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and June Sharkus (nee Duby). James attended and graduated from Valley Forge High School in 1965. He then served in the United States Army from 1966-68 where he also served in Vietnam War. James will be deeply missed by his children Bianca (Patrick) Murphy, Bradley (Kristin) Sharkus, and Brandi (James) Weikamp; loving grandfather of Sean, Jack, Joseph, Brandon, Mason, Emerson, and Will; cherished brother of Jan (Ed) Adams and John (Barb) Sharkus; and a host of extended family and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 2-4p.m. at Sunset Funeral Services, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral ceremony at the Sunset Chapel, followed by graveside service with military honors and reception at Sunset will be held for family and friends on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 10a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
