James William Wallace's Obituary
James William Wallace, 88, of Olmsted Falls, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 25, 1933, to the late James G. and Jewell P. (nee Max) Wallace. James is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Leanne (nee Hagen), their anniversary being next month, November 3. James was in the Army for 22 years and served in Korea and Vietnam and dedicated his life to helping veterans with his holding of several post positions with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the 37th Division Veterans Association where he established a scholarship endowment. James was one of eleven children with 4 living siblings and 6 that have passed. He was loved and will be missed by many family members and friends especially his 2 nieces Gina Bowditch and Mary Ann Flury and nephew Bill Flury as well as great niece and nephew Madeson Lamlein and Bryan Lamlein. Graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., N. Olmsted, on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 10:00 AM with Military Honors and Military Salute by the North Ridgeville VFW #9871. Those wishing to attend can meet in the parking lot of Sunset Chapel at 6245 Columbia Rd, N. Olmsted at 9:45 AM. Jim loved animals and pets, so the family has asked that any donations be made to the Animal Protective League, at www.clevelandapl.org.
