Jan Y. Reed's Obituary
Jan Y. Reed (nee Case), age 87 of North Olmsted, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2021. She was proceeded by her husband Edward F. Reed (2015). Jan and Ed started their wonderful story together over a cup of coffee at Hiram College and were married for 58 years.
Jan is survived by their children, Debbie, Doug and her cherished grandson, Cody.
Jan’s life was blessed, full of happiness and wonderful friendships. Besides Jan’s many passions, including the arts, music, church, education, gardening, painting, reading and swimming daily laps at the local rec center, she was the most caring person, always doing for others, volunteering and donating to many charities. She was up for just about anything and was always there to provide her support to anyone who needed it, a shoulder to cry on or advice when asked.
There will be no service, at her request.
If you would like to continue her spirit of doing for others, donations can be made to any U.S. Veterans organization of your choice or to Hiram College, where it all started. She was a true treasure to all who knew her.
