Jane A. Curran's Obituary
Jane Curran, 77, of Fairview Park, Ohio, peacefully passed away after a courageous 15-year battle with multiple myeloma on August 8, 2025.
Jane’s life was defined by love, creativity, encouragement, and a quiet strength. She was married to her devoted husband, Dan Curran Sr., who is greatly saddened by their 25-year journey coming to an end.
Jane is survived by her brother, Larry Athan Sr., and is predeceased by her mother, Betty Schreck, father Lawrence Athan, and stepfather Marty Schreck. She was a proud and caring mother to Michael Kerrigan, Kate Noell, and Emily Kerrigan, and stepsons Daniel Jr. and Patric Curran — whose lives were shaped by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love and support. She found immense joy and pride in being a grandmother to Tai Kerrigan, Hunter Kerrigan, Jake Kerrigan, Bo Noell, Ivy Kerrigan, and Isabelle Noell, each of whom brought her endless pride and delight.
Jane’s hands were rarely still. She poured her heart into quilting, knitting, and crocheting, creating pieces that were not only award-winning works of art but also lasting symbols of her love. She also never missed an opportunity to send a card — for birthdays, anniversaries, and every milestone in between — a thoughtful tradition that made her loved ones feel cherished year after year.
Her strength through years of illness was matched only by her warmth toward others. Jane will be remembered not just for her talents and perseverance, but for her ability to make others feel appreciated, special, and loved.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, where family will receive friends from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Gathering Place or Hospice of the Western Reserve, in honor of the care and comfort they provided to her and so many.
