Janet M Messuri's Obituary
Janet M. Messuri, 89, of Brook Park, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022. She was born on May 4, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Anthony and Marcelle (nee Bellery) Nagel. Janet was a faithful Christian and found great comfort in attending mass at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church. She will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking and baking, especially her Christmas cookies. Her most cherished memories were spent hosting dinners and gathering with family, friends, and neighbors. She leaves behind a trail of joyous times. Beloved wife of John (deceased); loving mother of Catherine (Jeffrey) Schwartz and Tony (Karen) Messuri; cherished grandmother of Brian (Amanda) Schwartz, Douglas Schwartz, Jacqueline Schwartz, Ryan (Kathryn) Messuri, Katie (Kyle) Gilpin, and Jeremy (Meagan) Messuri; treasured great-grandmother of Braxton, Jacob, Jude, David, Brennan, and Emma; and dear sister of Richard (Catherine) Nagel and Robert (Judy) Nagel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 9 AM at Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park, Ohio 44142. She will be privately laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s memory to Mary Queen of the Apostles Church at the above address or St. Vincent De Paul Society, 1404 E. 9th Street Suite 301, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
