Janet L. Patton's Obituary
Janet L. Patton (née Coreno), age 91, passed away on June 24, 2026. Janet was born on May 27, 1935, to the late Ralph "Cal" Coreno and Mary (née Zicarelli) Coreno. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ralph Coreno. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lucille Coreno, and her brother, Richard Coreno (Patricia).
Janet was the beloved longtime companion of William K. Westley II and a devoted mother to her daughter, Cindy Breininger. She was a loving grandmother to Tommy and Kristin Breininger, who brought tremendous joy to her life. Janet also shared a special bond with her friends, Natalie Holmes (Keith) and William K. Westley III.
A dedicated professional, Janet spent 42 years as Executive Assistant to the President of the C&O and later CSX Railroad. She took great pride in her career and the relationships she built throughout her years of service.
Outside of work, Janet embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan and cherished the countless hours spent watching games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed boating, treasured her time in Florida, and made many happy memories with family and friends along the way.
Perhaps no companion was more devoted than RJ, her beloved dog, who brought her comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.
Janet will be remembered for her kindness, loyalty, strong work ethic, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable 91 years.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation is Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070, where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
