Janet G Rhodes' Obituary
Janet G. Rhodes, age 90, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. She was born on September 16, 1934, in White Pine, Tennessee, to the late Ruth and Thomas Shaver.
Janet married her beloved husband, Dennis Rhodes, on November 10, 1951, in Tennessee. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Lee Rhodes; granddaughter, Abby Pace; and siblings, Tommie Floyd, Charles Shaver, Don Shaver, Alex Shaver, and Bud Shaver.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Rhodes; cherished granddaughters, Mindy Rhodes-Paragios and Dana Pace-Chasar; her dear brother, William Shaver; and six adored great-grandchildren.
In the late 1950s, Janet worked in bookkeeping at Ashland Oil. She later became the office manager for her husband's business, Dennis Rhodes Builders and Cabinets, where she contributed significantly to its success.
Janet will be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature, her kindness, and her spunky spirit. She was dedicated to her family, had a strong work ethic, and her gentle yet lively personality touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Janet will be laid to rest privately with her husband at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, Ohio.
