Jason R. Tyler's Obituary
Jason Tyler, age 47, passed suddenly to eternal life on Friday, May 1. He was the most loving and devoted father to his daughter, Maia. He loved every aspect of being her dad and could instantly bring a big smile to her face.
Employed by United Airlines for over 25 years, Jason was well liked and widely respected by coworkers and peers. Working different day and night shifts he tried to schedule visits with Maia in between in order to spend the most time with her.
They spent many hours together hiking and exploring Cleveland Metro parks, their favorite areas being Rocky River Nature Center and Emerald Necklace area. His love for her was so big; he continually encouraged her in school, hobbies and activities and was proud of her excelling as a student, and was her most ardent fan and cheerleader at volleyball, basketball, or informal games of kickball in the street.
Always on the go, Jason made the most of each day. Usually greeting people with a warm smile and a quip, he was a long time Cleveland sports and Buckeye fan and enjoyed listening to 80’s music and classic rock. A good friend and neighbor to many in West Park, caretaker of strays, he will be greatly missed by friends, family and co-workers, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A private family event will be held this week-end.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later time.
