Jeanne M. Cogar's Obituary
Jeanne Marie Cogar (76) of Skidway Lake, MI passed away Monday, March 16th, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 29th, 1949 in Buckhannon, WV, Jeanne was daughter to Wilford " Shorty" Cogar and Gloria Cogar. With a fiery spirit, she lead a life full of love, adventure, and unwavering perseverance.
She had many passions in life. These include fishing, tending to her beautiful flowers, and as she would say " diggin in the dirt."
Her greatest passion of all was stirring up some mischief with her "babies." Whether you called her Jeanne, Mom, Grandma, Sis, Bean, Nene... you were one of her babies and her love for you was bigger than the stars.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Gloria Cogar as well as her brother, Rick Cogar.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Garlick; children, Linda (Mike) Kordek, Michael (Rachel) Garlick, Dwayne (Michelle) Garlick, and Richard (Wendi) Garlick; grandchildren: Katrina (Jeff) Wilson, Alexis (David) Rumrill, Timothy (Kayla) Morris, Kayleigh Garlick and Zoey Garlick; as well as two great grandchildren, loving siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Jeanne lived her life fearlessly. Her bright smile and infectious laugh will be dearly missed. However, her memories will live on in each life blessed by her love.
