Jeffrey Michael Wells' Obituary
Jeffrey M. Wells, 67, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2025. Born on November 22, 1957, in Lakewood, Ohio, Jeff was the beloved son of Thad and Patricia Wells.
A proud graduate of North Olmsted High School in 1976, Jeff found joy in many sports, but hockey held a special place in his heart. After high school, he pursued his artistic talents at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, nurturing a lifelong passion for creativity.
Jeff's commitment to service led him to enlist in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. His career took him to Tampa, Florida, in 1992, where he worked for McNichols Company and later for Syndaver Labs. Despite his love for the Florida sunshine, Jeff's heart remained rooted in Ohio, and he returned to his home state after Hurricane Milton displaced him in retirement.
Jeff embraced life's many wonders—art, drawing, music, sports, and the great outdoors. His adventures on the open road, often behind the wheel of his Jeep, brought him a sense of freedom and discovery, especially during his travels between Florida and Ohio. Fall was Jeff's favorite season, and he relished the changing leaves and crisp air that Ohio offered.
Jeff is survived by his siblings William Wells (Patti) and Jeane Ruprecht (Bob Noel). His nieces and nephews Stephanie Thrasher, Eric Ruprecht, Elaina Ruprecht, Tim Wells, and Bill Wells, Jr. His great nephews Liam Thrasher, Seamus Thrasher, Chase Ruprecht, Cody Ruprecht, and Caleb Ruprecht. He will be remembered for his creativity, kindness, and the joy he brought to everyone he met.
