Jerry Lee Curtis, 80, of Kenova, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Born on July 3, 1945, to the late Claude and Irene Curtis, Jerry lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Mattie; his beloved children, Lena, Jerry “JR” (Tracy), Brenda (Desmond), Christina, Bethany, Sara, Daniel (Sarah), Rebecca, and Solomon (Lisa); step-children Jimmy (Larissa) and Marissa (Matthew); a host of cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Diana, Terry, and Pamela. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jon.
Jerry proudly served in the US Army until his honorable discharge. He then dedicated many years to Ford Motor Company before retiring. His true calling was as a Pastor and Evangelist for The Prayer Closet Ministry, where he touched countless lives with his faith and compassion.
Jerry had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in fishing and yard work. His favorite place to unwind and create memories was Destin, Florida.
A graveside service to honor Jerry's life will be held on July 24 at 12:30 pm, meeting at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, 44070.
