Jessica Pickel's Obituary
Jessica Pickel, 33, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 25, 1990, in Fairview Park, Ohio, to Horace and Rita Pickel.
Jessie was a loving daughter, fiancé, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a passion for music and could play any instrument she touched. She loved animals, especially her seven cats, who brought her joy and comfort. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, playing games and laughing together. She was a fan of heavy metal and would frequently attend concerts. Her favorite place to be was in the mosh pit, where she felt alive and free.
Jessie was a kind and generous person, who cared about others more than herself. She was the sweetest person, who touched many lives with her warm personality. She was strong and never let her pain show. She faced her illness with courage and dignity, inspiring everyone around her.
Jessie will be dearly missed by her parents, Horace and Rita Pickel; fiancé, Richard Weiland; her brother, Curtis (Kristin) Meder; her nieces and nephews, Alayna, Luke, and Lexi; her cats, Link, Cali, Taco, Stella, Sassy, Nova, and Astro; and many other friends and relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery in Section 40.
