Joan Hughart's Obituary
Joan L. Hughart, 85, of Brook Park, Ohio passed away on December 21, 2021. She was born on September 11, 1936 to the late Leroy and Dorothy (nee Schneider) Amey. Joan enjoyed spending time with her furbabies, family, and had a passion for music. She owned Joan Hughart’s Music Unlimited and was often found bringing joy to the elderly by singing in area nursing homes. Joan will be missed by those who loved her best. Beloved wife of Phillip of 53 years; loving mother of Kathryn (Walter) Welchek; stepmother of Phillip A. (Karen) Hughart II (deceased) and Patricia (Gregory) Mullins; cherished grandmother of Phillip A. Hughart III, Robert (Heather) Hughart, Jennifer Mullins, Robert (Heather) Hughart, Nathan (Sandra) Welchek, Michael (Stephanie) Welchek, and Sarah Welchek; treasured great grandmother of Tristan, Katelyn, Gabriella, Peyton, Conner, Martin, Kody, Josh, Brysen, Vivany, Anderson, and Lilyana. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27th from 5-8 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28th at 10 AM at the chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joan’s memory online to the Cleveland APL at https://clevelandapl.org/ or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/donate.
