Joan Julia Mitchell's Obituary
Joan Julia Mitchell, 87, was born on February 3, 1935 to the late Laban and Annie Holt of Warrensburg, TN. She graduated from Carson Newman College and worked as an Account Manager for Republic Steel before becoming a loving wife and mother. She was a long time resident of Fairview Park, OH and member of Eastern Star and West Park Baptist Church. She lived a life of selfless service for our good and God’s glory.
Joan passed away on September 5, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Charles W. Mitchell. Cherished mother of Reita (Edward) Martin and Charles S. (Shannon) Mitchell. Loving grandmother of Daniel (Maureen), Joshua (Danielle), and Jacob Martin, and Nathan and William Mitchell. Loved great grandmother to Ava and Daniel Martin. Dear sister of the late Bobbie Spencer and aunt to Dawn, Terri, and Scotty.
Visitation is Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070, during which the Eastern Star Service will conclude the visitation at 7:30 PM. On Saturday, September 17, 2022, a visitation will be held at the chapel from 10 - 11 AM, where the service will follow at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
