Joan Ellen Moorhead's Obituary
Joan E. (Klingler) Moorhead, 89, of Avon Lake, OH, passed away on September 12, 2024. Joan was born on February 18, 1935. She was a volunteer at Fairview Hospital for many years and an active member of various Bridge clubs, Red Hat groups, and Book Clubs. Above all, Joan cherished time with family and friends, maintaining close connections throughout her life.
Joan was the loving mother of Linda (Matt) Voloshen, Lori (John) Keller, and Bill (fiance Lisa Finneran) Moorhead. She was a cherished grandmother to Chris (Julie) Obodzinski, Melissa (Jim) Beil, Kara (Jacob) Keller-Ruoff, Ashley (Dave) Seigel, Justin (Zach Smith) Keller, Mary Catherine (Dave) Winton, Audrey (Ryan) King, and Anna Moorhead and loved being great-grandmother to Isabel & Stella Obodzinski, Sierra Winton, and Carter & Chloe Siegel. She was a beloved sister-in-law to Millie (Dan- deceased) Pensiero and aunt to Daniel (Maureen) Pensiero and Jeff (Paula) Pensiero.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Lisle Moorhead and her loving parents Don & Mary Gertrude Klingler.
A private memorial service is planned to honor Joan's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Gigi's (animal rescue/adoption) at 6175 Wright Rd., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, or Traditions Hospice at 677 Alpha Dr. H, Highland Heights, OH 44143.
