Joan Phillips' Obituary
Joan M. Phillips, 94, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025. Born on April 20, 1930, in Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, England, to the late Harry and Gertrude Young, Joan lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication.
Joan is survived by her children John (Karen) Phillips, Hugh (Karen) Phillips, and Peter (Sandy) Phillips. She was a proud grandmother to Stephen (Laura) Phillips, Janet Phillips, Anne Phillips, Allen Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, Matthew (Laura) Phillips, Alec Phillips, and Samantha (Jonathan) Febles, and a loving great-grandmother to Ethan Phillips, Owen Phillips, Maximus Phillips, and Leo Febles. Joan's memory will also be cherished by her sister, Kathleen Patuel. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosalie Webber.
Joan had a fulfilling career working in several libraries. She had a passion for crafting, particularly card making, cross stitch and knitting, Joan was very active in her church and was always ready to step in to play the piano and organ when needed. She loved to garden, watch birds and enjoyed watching British TV series.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Olmsted United Methodist Church, 4600 Dover Center Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held on April 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the North Olmsted United Methodist Church, 4600 Dover Center Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park 6265 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
