Joan W. St. George's Obituary
Joan W. St. George, 86, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away on November 14, 2022. She was born in Clifton Springs, New York, on October 8, 1936, to the late Dr. Leon and Lillian (nee Walters) Westfall. Joan and her late husband, Alan G. St. George were married for almost 50 years and will be missed by their children Lisa Mann (Patrick) and David St. George (Janet). Joan graduated from the Genesee Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN for more than 30 years and eventually retired from St. John Westshore Hospital where she was the charge nurse for the post-surgical floor. She was loved and respected by everyone who worked with her. Joan was the grandmother of Kelly Duplaga (Steven), Shannon Mann (Matt Kozlowski), Daniel St. George and Leigha St. George and great-grandmother of Greyson and Kennedy. Joan was the loving sister of Dr. James Westfall and the late Judi Lynch and Nancy Sproul. Visitation will take place Monday, November 21, 2022, from 10AM to 12:00 PM, and a memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio, 44070.
