Joan Ruth Zarate's Obituary
Joan Ruth Zarate, 89, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 22, 1933 to the late Dewitt & Goldie Upson (nee Young). Joan will be deeply missed by her children Dennis Lortz, Debbie (George) Baetzold, Gary (Aracelis) Early, and daughter-in-law Leslie Early; beloved grandmother of Amie Skidmore (Steve), Crystal Early, and Shane (Faith) Baetzold; cherished great-grandmother of Mark, Christian, Nicole, Jarred, & Autumn; and a host of extended family and dear friends. Joan was preceded in death by her son, Terry Early; her siblings, Tootie (Dottie) Upson, Geraldine (Bill) Ponsford, and Dottie Hoder; and her loving parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 4-8p.m. at Sunset Funeral Services, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A celebration of life funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 also at the Sunset Chapel 12pm. The family welcomes you to fellowship with them for a repast luncheon after the service at Sunset Chapel reception lower level 1-3p.m.
