JoAnn Carter's Obituary
JoAnn Carter (nee Thomas), 72, of Columbia Station, passed away December 14, 2014.
She was born in Bluefield, WVA and married Kalien Carter Sr. on April 1, 1965. Together, they have raised six children: Virginia Wright, Daniel (Diane) Henderson, Tamara (John) Pylo, Kalien Jr. (Lisa), Robert (Sheila), and Mary Cherie (Michael) Ebbing. She is blessed with 17 grandchildren: William Stemberger, Edward Wright, Michaela, Jessica, and Daniel Henderson, Jacob and Eric Pylo, Ashley (Jason) Hanna, Lissa, Colin, and Robert Jr. Carter, Jacob, Kyle, Mikey, Jasmine and Jordan Ebbing, and Buddy Carter and great-grandchildren Cole Stemberger, Maya and Madisyn Pylo, Jayla and Jaxon Hanna, Chloe Tamburro, and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Katalina Marie Carter. She is survived by her siblings Jean (Biff) Willis and Donald (Freda) Thomas and was predeceased by Edna Davidson, Lillian Turner, James Thomas, Harold Thomas, and Margaret Marrs. She was a cherished aunt of many.
She will always be remembered for not forgetting to send a card for that special occasion and for her love of flea markets. Her true love however is her family. She most enjoyed her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Visitation Wednesday 4-8PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10AM.
