Jodi Johnson's Obituary
Our precious sister, daughter, aunt, neighbor, friend departed this earth on the morning of January 19, 2024. Wrapped in the wings of angels, she soared into the loving arms of her parents, Gerald and Susann Janosek and brother Michael. Flowers, birds, butterflies, the sun and the moon, all were her companions. She saw this world differently than most, a vast rainbow of glorious art that brought her peace. Her passion was creative expression, whether through her career, her care and concern for others, her garden and home, or giving a giggle. Random acts of kindness were her specialty. Her children were the children she served in the cities of Strongsville and Brunswick as a special education teacher and elementary school teacher. She cherished each of her students and treated them with the utmost patience, encouragement, and compassion. Jodi was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio; Wilmette, Illinois; Glendale, Wisconsin; and Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Education from Wittenberg University and her Master Degree of Education from Baldwin Wallace University. She is survived by her sister, Jerianne Marone; brother, Andy Janosek; nephews Greg Janosek, Josh Janosek and Matt Janosek (Alyssa) and dear friend, Grant Reagle. In honor of Jodi, please hug someone closely today and every day and shout out to the universe “Hug-A-Bugs!”
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00AM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
