John L. Baatz's Obituary
John L. "Jack" Baatz, 89, of North Olmsted, entered Eternal Rest on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born September 21, 1933 in Cleveland to the late Leo and Catherine (Giblin) Baatz. He retired as a lineman from Cleveland Public Power. Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy; and son-in-law, Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances "Jill" Baatz; children, Marylou (Mike), Laurie, David (Dawn), Richard (Laurie) and Daniel. He was a grandfather to 10 and great-grandfather to 3.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4170 North Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio 44144, with Father Mike officiating. His final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Road North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
