John "Jack" J. Madden's Obituary
John “Jack” James Madden Jr, of North Olmsted, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
He was born September 30, 1931, in Patterson, NJ; son of the late John Sr and Catherine Madden. Jack was a proud Korean War Veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Elyria VFW. Jack was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching baseball and football. He was even a Cleveland Browns season ticket holder. Growing up and spending most of his life without pets, he has since gained a love of cats and is very fond of his fur babies. Jack will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Merle (nee Mitchell) Madden.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 10AM – 12PM in the Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070 where funeral service will commence at 12 NOON. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s name are suggested to Love A Stray Cat Division, P.O. Box 422, Avon, OH 44011.
