John (Jack) D. Whitticar's Obituary
John 'Jack' D. Whitticar, 84, of Westlake passed away April 27, 2020 after a long illness.
Jack was born in Covington, KY on March 19, 1936, and moved to the Cleveland area in 1938 where he attended Westlake schools. He later became a radioman for the US Navy. He attended Fenn College in Cleveland, Ohio, and worked as a HVAC Engineer Designer until he retired in 2001. Always appreciative of art and the outdoors, he became a master gardener and enjoyed woodworking. Passionate about learning, he was an avid reader and a captivating story teller.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Whitticar (Sodini), father William Whitticar, and granddaughter Sabrina Vetrano.
Beloved husband of Darlene (Fejer) for 58 years; cherished father of Shari Whitticar, Genia Vetrano (Joe), Anthony Whitticar (Michelle Arena and Lisa Emling); devoted grandfather of Brett, Jessie (Tone), Anty, Erika (Drew), Sam, Jill, Michael (Kelsey), Lissy, Danielle, Taylor, Nicole, Sarah and Mark; great grandfather of Anthony, Jayce, Zoey and Ella.
John had a good sense of humor and loved his grandchildren.
He will be missed by many, including his Bichon Frise and best buddy, Muff.

To ensure the health and safety of our community, we are following all guidelines set by local, state and CDC officials. A private viewing will take place. A graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date.
